Shipping Update

As of today, over 2/3rds of our backers have their packages on the way.  We thank you for your continued patience, as we are only three guys and we are handling fulfillment ourselves.  If yours has yet to ship, please know it will be shortly.  

Mystery Boxes have been built, but due to some logistical issues shipping on those won't start until early next week. I promise you, they will be worth the wait.  If you aren't following us on social media (and at this point, why aren't you?) you may have missed this photo from Denis's apartment full of Mystery Box merch.  

Our Instagram account continues to preview the cool and original items you will find in those Mystery Boxes.  If you missed out on the unknown fun this time around, we may bring them back for our next campaign (did I say NEXT campaign? Oops.).

For those of you who have your games, or are about to receive them, you will find an extra card in your shipping box.  This is NOT one of the exclusive Kickstarter cards, those will come shrink-wrapped together.  No, you'll find this card: 

You'll find another copy of this card INSIDE the box, but you may notice a small issue.  We realized that somehow this one card escaped our meticulous proof-reading.  Instead of having the issue corrected at the printer overseas and add additional delays to backers getting their games, we instead corrected the mistake by printing 1,000 individual cards and we will pack them with all orders moving forward.  Hold onto that original "Corporate Takeover" card as I'm sure it will be worth THOUSANDS when this game takes off (this in no way constitutes a promise of value, and the card is probably only worth throwing in the trash).  

We'll be sure to update you as we finish shipping out our final games.  Please let us know if there are any questions or concerns.

The game has finally arrived, and it is GLORIOUS!

It wouldn't be a Kickstarter campaign without a few delays, but on Monday afternoon the game finally arrived from overseas to our doorstep.  If you ever wondered, here's what 2,500 lbs. of game looks like.  

But now that it's here, SHIPPING HAS BEGUN!  You should be getting notifications shortly confirming your copy has been sent and the tracking number so you can keep yours eyes on the delivery date.  And you should get excited, because this game looks TOO SWEET!

We will be shipping these out to backers and then pre-orders as fast as we can, but it may take us a few days to complete them all so please be patient.  

We have some BIG plans for 2018, and we can't wait to share them with you.  But we are MOST excited to get this game into your hands and let you guys tell us what you think.  Don't forget that we are accessible here on Kickstarter as well as on social media.

Hey Smack Talkers!

The game has arrived at our shores, and we will have them in-hand by the end of the week!  We plan to start shipping as soon as this weekend, so backers and folks who pre-ordered should be getting shipment confirmations during the next week or two.  We are so excited to get this in your hands, and the majority of you should have it in time for your Royal Rumble parties!

As a reminder, this is your last chance to change your address in Backerkit before we begin shipping.  All addresses will be locked in on FRIDAY JANUARY 19th.

Hey Smack Talkers!

Our printer has informed us that we will be receiving your copies of Smack Talk Showdown the week of January 8th. Once the copies are in our possession, we will work faster than a Jinder Mahal push to get Smack Talk Showdown in your hands!

Keep in mind that it will be the three of us will be sending out each package personally, so some people may get their copies a few days before others. If you have any questions or last minute address changes, feel free to contact us on Kickstarter.

The good news, and...

Sorry for the lack of communication as of late.  It has been difficult getting timely answers to our questions from our overseas printers, as they are working on a lot of other games trying to ship in time for the Holiday season.

First, the good news.  We approved a production sample a few weeks ago, and the game is on it's way to the US via cargo ship.

The bad news is, the phrase "on the slow boat" is a cliche for a reason.  We have been told that the games will now not arrive until January.  

This is a bummer, as we have been trying everything possible to get the game in your hands in time for the holiday gift-giving season.  We apologize profusely for the delay, and thank our backers for your continued patience.  As this is our first time producing a game, we had a steep learning curve when it came to dealing with an overseas printer. Once the games have arrived, we will be doing everything we can to get them shipped and out to you as soon a humanly possible, barring any additional delays due to international cargo shipping.

If you were hoping to give the game as a gift this holiday, we apologize and would like to offer a little mea-culpa.  If you want, please drop us a message here on Kickstarter with your name and address and we will mail you a certificate confirming that your gifted copy of the game is coming early next year.  If the Star Wars figure Early Bird Certificate of 1977 showed us anything, it's that everyone loves receiving a piece of paper that says your gift is on the way.

As we approach the final shipping of the game, we remind you to log into Backerkit and make sure your address is correct.  

Here is a sneak peak at our final production copy. We will have a more extensive update with a lot more photos in the next few days.  We hope this will help tide you over until you can finally play the game with your friends and family in the new year.

We will be updating all of you as we march to the fulfillment stage of this campaign, and we may even have some ideas to share for the future of SmackTalk Showdown in 2018 and beyond.
