Smack Talk Showdown is the party game where smack talking your opponents is not only encouraged, it's necessary! The game is all about the art of the wrestling promo. Two players assume the guise of professional wrestlers and go head-to-head for verbal supremacy while a third player dictates the action as a Producer. Everyone not competing in the current turn (which we call a Segment) is the Audience and gets to choose the victor of the round!

Hey Smack Talkers!
It's been awhile since our last update, and the crew here at Double Turn have been very busy. We wanted to update you on a few things.
1) If you are in the Boston area, we've teamed with The Wilbur and Do617 to give away performance tickets and a meet & greet with comedian RON FUNCHES on June 10th! For those who aren't familiar with Ron, he's a hilarious comic and quite the fan of pro wrestling. For more details on the contest, check the video below as well as the detail page at Do617.
Next on the agenda, many of you have noticed we have sent out surveys via BackerKit in order to collect your shipping addresses. We are still a ways off from actually shipping them, but we ask you complete it now and we will give you ample time and notice to make any changes before we ship. Only 50 of you have yet to take the survey, so get on it!
Also, BackerKit allows us to continue taking pre-orders for the game, so if you r a friend missed out on the Kickstarter campaign there is now a way to make sure you can get your hands on this year's best new party game! Pre-orders can be found HERE.
ALSO, we have finally crossed all the t's, dotted the i's, and can announce that the terrific and experienced folks at AdMagic will be printing our game. Right now we are finalizing the packaging and then the files are off to be printed.
Tomorrow, expect a revised print & play PDF to be sent to all backers that will allow for easier double-sided printing. Also, each type of card will be broken into it's own PDF considering the original PDF was so large. We heard you, and we hope this helps!

Hey Smack Talkers!
Sorry for the radio silence since the campaign ended. Very apropos that tomorrow is the Boston Marathon, as this campaign felt a bit like a marathon itself. Denis had to take a few days to let his body recover from a killer cold and all the adrenaline running out of his body.
But with the help of 343 backers, we not only hit our funding goal but the stretch goal as well. That means you'll be getting 550 cards as well as the 10 Kickstarter exclusive cards.
With the addition of the extra cards, the spell-checking and standardization of the game content has taken us longer than we originally thought. However, we are very close to being finished, and hope to have the print and play PDF to all of you this week.
This Thursday at 8 PM EDT Denis and Danny will be hosting another livestream where we will answer all your questions and keep you updated as to our progress. As long as these live streams are a success we plan to have one every two weeks until the physical game is in your hands.
All of us at Double Turn would like to send our thanks to our families and friends for all their support during the campaign. We literally couldn't have done this without your support, patience, and some of your money as well.
And to everyone who pledged their money, we thank you most of all. You guys helped us achieve a dream, and we hope you stick around as we grow the game.

Tomorrow our campaign ends at 6:10 PM eastern time. It has been a long but successful campaign, so we wanted to throw ourselves a little celebration and you are all invited.
Tomorrow at 5:00 PM eastern, Denis and Danny will be broadcasting straight until the end. They'll be talking future plans, taking questions, and maybe playing another round of wrestling trivia trying to stump Denis. If you have any great wrestling trivia make sure you tune in and toss a few Denis' way.

We are officially funded! Around midnight eastern time, we crossed the $15,000 mark. We can not possibly thank you all enough for pledging your money and spreading the word for this little project that could!
A reminder that we added a stretch goal to our campaign - if we reach $17,500 by 6 PM on Saturday we will add 50 cards to the base deck. That brings the total to 550 cards, including 25 cards for you to fill in with your own wonderful ideas!

We are entering the home stretch here. We are officially over 250 backers, and have raised almost 90% of our goal. If anyone has been sitting on the fence wondering if they should pledge, wonder no more. We're here to announce our stretch goal.
If we are able to raise $17,500 (116% of our goal) we will add 25 new content cards and 25 blank cards to the base deck. The blank cards are there for you to add your own Name, Segment, and Smack cards to the game! That brings the total number of cards up to 550. On top of that, you still get the 10 Kickstarter exclusive cards, bringing your total to 560! That's an amazing deal for only $25.
